Donโ€™t judge a book by its cover ๐Ÿ“š โฃ

When I was first handed this book on my Management APPE rotation, I didnโ€™t expect to connect with the content simply based upon the cover. However, now, I canโ€™t seem to put it down. โฃ โฃ Iโ€™ve been learning a lot of great leadership tips from โ€œ๐น๐“๐’ถ๐“Œ๐“๐‘’๐“ˆ๐“ˆ ๐ธ๐“๐‘’๐’ธ๐“Š๐“‰๐’พ๐‘œ๐“ƒโ€ ๐’ท๐“Ž ๐’ฅ๐’ถ๐“‚๐‘’๐“ˆ ๐’Ÿ. ๐‘€๐“Š๐“‡๐“…๐’ฝ๐“Ž. The graphic above is called the โ€œFlawless Execution Engineโ€ and consists of 4 overarching steps: Plan, Brief, Execute, Debrief. โฃ โฃ As future pharmacists, weโ€™re expected to lead in some capacity. Whether youโ€™re in a corporate, community, or clinical setting, the same principles apply. โฃ โฃ Naturally, as an enneagram 2w3, I love helping others in an organized fashion, so what better way to do so than a quick outline of what to expect while reading this book. โฃ

1. ๐Ÿ‡ต ๐Ÿ‡ฑ ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐Ÿ‡ณ โฃ - Determine the mission objective โฃ - Identify the threats โฃ - Identify your available and required resources โฃ - Evaluate lessons learned โฃ - Develop a course of action โฃ - Plan for contingencies โฃ โฃ 2. ๐Ÿ‡ง ๐Ÿ‡ท ๐Ÿ‡ฎ ๐Ÿ‡ช ๐Ÿ‡ซ (s)โฃ - Big picture โฃ - Review the mission objective โฃ - Identify the threats and resources โฃ - Execution โฃ - Flexibility โฃ - Set the debriefing time and place โฃ โฃ 3. ๐Ÿ‡ช ๐Ÿ‡ฝ ๐Ÿ‡ช ๐Ÿ‡จ ๐Ÿ‡บ ๐Ÿ‡น ๐Ÿ‡ช โฃ - Checklists โฃ - Briefing โฃ - Mutual Support โฃ - Critical Language โฃ โฃ 4. ๐Ÿ‡ฉ ๐Ÿ‡ช ๐Ÿ‡ง ๐Ÿ‡ท ๐Ÿ‡ฎ ๐Ÿ‡ช ๐Ÿ‡ซ - S.T.E.A.L.T.H. โฃ - Set the Time โฃ - Tone โฃ - Execution vs Objectives โฃ - Analyze Execution โฃ - Lessons Learned โฃ - Transfer Lessons Learned โฃ - High Noteโฃ

Personally, I don't always plan as much as I should, because I want to jump in and get things started. However, I do spend a lot of time debriefing and analyzing lessons learned. โฃ

What are your strengths and weaknesses as you execute a plan? Let me know what step you're working on in the comments below! โฃ
